NASRAC Season 5 CHASE Race 1 is Complete

NASRAC the free online nascar strategy simulation game has just completed Race 27 – CHASE RACE 1 for Season 5.

Note only NASCAR Groups A1-A5 and AA1, AA2 and AAA1 had the drivers rest to the 5000 chase points. Groups A6-A9 only had a few races and not enough to really make it fair for everyone playing the game.

I also know many of you had issues getting to the site today. I am not 100% certain why this is happening but I was able to test the site from two locations today. It may be a DNS issue and if you are having issue send me an email again and I will provide you with an IP address that should do the job. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience.

Thanks for the continued support. Soon, a fellow driver who has dedicated several hours of helping me develop an incredible Race Replay flash application will be unveiled. I need to test it inside the NASRAC environment but it looks really good and I think it will add that little extra zing you want when watching the replays. So when we release it, remember it may have a few minor issues and we can always make tweaks to improve it.

NASRAC Season 3 is over.

Season 3 is now over. I would like to congratulate all the winners and say this was a great season. I came back near the end and did finish 2nd, I won’t tell you who won, go check out all the standings.

Season 4 should be fun and I expect it to start sometime next week. I will be going through and retiring old drivers. Moving guys up to AA adn moving some folks from AAA back to AA. I will also make sure (or try) to eliminate duplicate drivers from competing in the higher series like AA or AAA. By this I mean I don’t want Joe Smith 1 and Joe Smith 2 both in AAA, so I will make the effort to clean this up. It is fair and legal to have two drivers, I just maybe don’t want them in AAA so we can open up some slots.

Okay I will be mailing you guys soon. Also please remember it’s okay if you want to make a PayPal donation. I do okay in my day job, but I am trying to show the WIFE all the time I spent has some sort of future

X2X Motorsports not living up too expectations (AA1)

Last season in A-1 X2X Motorsports was formed just prior too the inaugural Nasrac Chase for the Cup. Putting all four of their teams in the top 10 in points at the end of Season one the entire team was moved too AA-1. They were expected too continue their winning ways & put all 4 teams in the chase again this year, that likely will not happen.

The current highpoint for X2X is #19 Aaron Bean’s 8th place ranking in points. Bean has been the only X2X driver consistently in the top 10 this season. The 19 team’s performance includes 1 win 6 top 5′s & 7 top 10 finishes this season. Bean should make the chase, unless he has a lot of bad luck. Next up for X2X is owner/driver Johnny William’s #1 team. The #1 team is ranked 20th in points, their season has been improving though. After having a slow start Williams was ranked 33rd after race 5 but has fought his way up too 20th in points & has picked up 1 win 4 top 5s & 4 top 10s.

The other two teams have had Abysmal seasons. Ranked in 34th is Tim Reeve in the #4 Toyota. His one win at the Auto Club Speedway is his only top 10 run of the season. “This season has been really tough for me,” said Reeve, “After last Season I moved to AA-1 thinking I would challenge for a championship, that hasn’t gone so well. The good thing is our cars are getting better and we aren’t crashing every week anymore.” The final X2X car is the #888 of James Johnson ranked 35th. Johnson has struggled mightily picking up 1 top 10 finish & a lot of 25th or worse finishes, which has been very tough for the English driver too accept.

Congrats to all the winners and thanks for making this a great first season. We learned a lot, I coded and changed lots of things. We all won a few friends and a couple enemies. If you didn’t win PM your buddy or fellow competitor who did. I have to say the last half of the season i tried and I never won a race – and I know how the code works…so definitely a round of applause for our winners.

NASRAC Cup Winners – Season 1
A1 – Adam Lyons
A2 – ahinds10
A3 – Rich Youngs who pulls off the comeback in the final race.
A4 – Garry Smith
Non Cup Winners (as in no chase but still winners)
A5 – gbmoore over Dan Collins who owned number 1 since race 24 but had a slight altercation with the wall of lap 68 of his final race and ended up 45th.
A6 – Patrick Hall
A7 – JVRacing
A8 – kloon showing us how after 6 races he could be a force in Season 2

Guys I hope you had fun, I did. Now I will move on to a season ending ‘fun’ event – The NASRAC Shootout. I will post the rules soon and email everyone when the race is ready. think early next week. Also note this race will be under the new ‘Fine tuning’ practice sessions. So cheating will no longer be possible. However, good news for you die hard NASCAR fans. Go ahead and setup a new account (YES you can have 2 or more, but only do what you can manage). I’ll allocate all these new drivers to new divisions right before Season 2 which is why I need everything off. The AA Series promotions will be limited to 100-150 drivers – not sure have not looked at the final numbers on participation yet, but I’ll know after the shootout.

The race results and race standings are updated for Race 28 at Dover and all active groups (A1-A6) are complete. Group A7 is filling in nice with 29 new drivers ready to pull those belts tight starting next Monday.

Massive wrecks by front runners could open up the championship in several divisions. make sure you look at the results and standings. Lots of movement.

Code -nothing but I played with some forum stuff to allow usergroups. I have a couple setup and can setup more but I want to test them a little more before opening them up. So don’t feel slighted…

Code -I made a small error in the code last night with the Practice and qualifying pages. This caused everyone to be stuck for a while, but I was able to fix it right when I got home tonight. I also tweaked some navigation. NOW when you are done with practice you can go straight to Qualifying and from Qualifying to Race Strategy. It will save you a couple clicks…

NASCAR GAME – NASRAC Race Results | Race 26 | Richmond International Speedway

The race results and race standings are updated for Race 26 at Richmond and all active groups are complete. All groups A1-A6 had races tonight. A7 are sitting this out until Monday.

In the A1 division the X2X Motorsports team bounced back with a 1-2-3-4 Finish proving no fear against the PH Motorsports drivers. The chase is going to be interesting.

Code – Fixed some problems with the laps down at short track. The results look much better and I understood what the problem was and how it came about.

Announced end of the year NASRAC Shootout. Each division will have a race and the top 10 from each will compete in the Final Year End NASRAC Shootout. More details will be coming in the near future.

As always I will continue to make enhancements and improve the game.

The race results and race standings are updated for Race 25 at the Auto Club Speedway and all active groups are complete. All groups A1-A6 had races tonight. Welcome A6 drivers…

In the A1 division the PH Motorsports Drivers rallied around their fallen commander to take the top 2 spots. Afterward, Nasrac’s Minnelli stated, “I am upset by the events that have transpired over the last few days but as a community we will move past this cheating scandal and focus on the drivers in the chase.” Also when asked about the severity of the banishment he summarized, “It’s a shame that PH Motorsports would cheat, but all we wanted was the truth not another story packed with misdirections.”

Summing up the days events Philip Hampton has been banned from NASRAC, not only for cheating but for the false claims about his real life NASCAR Cup Race Team. Independent sources have concluded that this scam or fraud has been facilitated at several messages board around the web. We tried to have an open mind but in the end he was banned. A reinstatement could be possible early next season, but massive restrictions would be in place. The league will see how it progresses before it makes any future decisions.

Code – Chase Cup Points where added to the code and the random code apparently will come in handy next year.
