A Look at the Teams, 1/3 of the way through the season
So how are the Nasrac teams doing this season? We’ll take a look.
Bupp Enterprises
BE came into the season with some big acquisitions from disgruntled SLR members to independents ready to give the team idea a shot. The team has been a contender and this season is no different as the have 4 people currently in the AAA Chase including defending series champion Tim Reeve, and three more in easy striking distance. This could easily be the season that BE finally breaks through and wins its first AAA title (Reeve’s last season title was at SLR not BE). The AA teams have been doing decently as they are all around the chase area but the AA program could use some work to get more consistent.
Henderson Racing
Henderson Racing is well not doing very well. Their best effort in AAA is Danatyam in 24th, with Duffman228 in 25th, and owner Elliott Henderson in 42nd continuing his winless streak to 212. Their AA teams don’t look much better in AA1 they have Alex Taylor 24th who is rumored to be looking elsewhere, Elliotts second account in 26th and Giants02122 in 32nd. Their sole AA2 driver, JOKER, is sitting 22nd in points. None of their AAA or AA teams have shown the consistency to make the chase and have put themselves in a hole that will be hard to come out of even with 14 races to the chase. Their only bright spot is in A2 where Brian Kreashko Jr is leading the points, Reese6485 is 7th in points in A1 but thats mainly due to running all the races this far. The team clearly has alot of work to do if they want to get a car in the chase anywhere other than in the A divisions.
McCammon Motorsports
MM is not in terrific shape in AAA, of their 4 AAA teams they have Rex Carr in 16th as their best with leaders Kyle McCammon and Aflac99 in 28th & 29th and rookie Micheal Finley back in 40th. Their AA teams are doing better with a couple in the chase and others in striking distance. The 2nd year team is doing decentely after a breakout rookie year. They just need to work on trying to gain consistency and they can get themselves atleast one car in the chase in each division they are running in.
Newsome Racing
Newsome has been the team on the move this season after a controversy over Justin Neyman and PlatinumGamer2 leaving the team. Since then the team has signed new talent and has been showing strong. With JD coming out of a early season hole to get himself into the chase and their historically strong AA teams are doing well too. The team has been on the upswing and will likely be a strong contender to challenge for championships this season.
Redline Motorsports
Redline has been silently rolling along after Leader Kyle-rowdy-Busch had to take a 6 month break from Nasrac. The team has its chase contenders everywhere, and it also has its struggling drivers. They likely won’t be a serious contender in the chase but they should have some people in it, and if they work on their communication and can get the entire team running better then they could be a darkhorse.
Sith Racing
Sith is the silent contender, some people don’t even realize their is a Sith Racing team in the forum as they are one of the more quieter groups and stay focused on winning races and making their runs for the championships. Their AA program isn’t looking the best and could use some work, but in AAA they hold 2nd and 3rd behind Kevin Minnelli but they also have 3 drivers 46th or worse who have missed races or had simply horrible luck. The team has come close before and they are posed to have 2 chase teams so this could be their opportunity to finally break through and win the AAA title.
Speed of Light Racing
SLR has been hanging on this season, the team lost several of its veteran members at the end of last season and then Giants02122 abandoned the team right before the start of the season. They have not run well and likely team communication is a big issue there with leader Joffrey Gaetz being inactive the team doesn’t hold much hope to contend anywhere and without some leadership direction the team will likely slowly drift away.
Team Kevin
The one man team of Nasrac creator Kevin Minnelli is strong as ever this season holding down the points lead in AAA, he may have lost the championship last season but its only a matter of time until Kevin wins his 3rd championship and it very easily could be this season. If your going to win it will likely mean beating Kevin which is no small task.
X2X Motorsports
X2X isn’t having its best season but with 2 in the chase and 5 drivers in the top 20 its looking good for the team that has gone a record 2 AAA seasons without winning the championship. The team has been building for its future since the loss of the last founding member Tim Reeve during season 11 and the loss of longtime member Kashvinder Mann at the end of season 12. They have a lot different look this season but they are right in position to make a strong charge at the championship.
