Forum Rules Pass Rules Committee Unanimously
With the Rules Committee voting unanimously to approve the Rules they are now in effect in the forum.
1. Any member who puts down someone’s accomplishments as a driver or owner, will be warned. Continued offences with face a ban with length determined by past history.
2. Any member who open complains about the moderators without coming up with evidence and/or positive alternative, such as saying the mods don’t clean up the forum right away or saying things like “The mods suck”, will be subject to consequences. Standard procedure: 1st offence is a warning, 2nd 1 week ban (missing 6 races, means they do not setup for 6 races), 3rd 1 season ban. Special circumstances could result in a more severe penalty. Constructive Criticism is always encouraged this only applies to those making statements for no reason.
3. No potential ban will be made unless it is first discussed on the Mod Board for one day (24 hours) and the majority of Mods agree that it is warranted. Exceptions to be in the case of flagrant, intentional disregard for the rules or other NASRAC Racers. NASRACSMACK Chat will not be used for making Mod Team decisions at any time unless it is during a prearranged meeting with full notice given 24 hours in advance to all other Mods. Most cases are not so serious that 24 hours cannot be taken to be sure any ban is in this game’s best interests.
4. Any bans MUST be posted in both the Mod Board and NASRAC.com Board thread with reasons why. All mods must be notified of reasons, and if necessary, we should establish a council of drivers that are NOT mods that can be used in an appeal process.
5. The appeal process must be made up of members who are willing to hear, listen and debate about given bans, warnings, etc. These members must demonstrate no bias to a certain team, and if there are any members of that person’s team being brought to the appeal council then that teams’ members will not be allowed to participate in the proceedings.
6. No Moderator should be directly involved in any banishment that involves a teammate, enemy or friend as that creates a situation where we can be viewed as vindictive and unfair. Let the other Mods with no connections handle it totally.
7. Let’s not get ban happy for less than good reasons. We cannot start banning people for minor infractions such as simply talking trash. As they say, “That’s Racin”. Common sense must be at the front of all decisions that we make or any decisions made will be worthless and harmful to the game.
8. Moderators promise to uphold the rules of Nasrac. They will enforce the rules but will not over moderate the forum taking the fun out of it. The mods promise to maintain as little interference in the forum as possible and will ONLY interfere when it is necessary with good reason. Mods that cause interferences for no reason or fail to uphold the rules will face consequences that will be decided by the other mods that are not involved. In the event a mod needs to be investigated the Rules Committee will handle it, with any mods on the rules committee not being involved.
9. Political or Religious talk will not be allowed. It is something that always causes problems so lets just keep it out of the forum and chat all together.
Too make it clear this is how issues will be handled involving all rules:
1. Rules Enforcement of the Forum Rules will be handled by the Mods, any mods involved will not be handling it.
2. People that wish to appeal the mods decisions can, their appeal will be handled by the rules committee with the mods and anyone else involved that is on the Rules Committee not handling it.
3. The Rules Committee can appeal the mods decision with reason.
