Henderson Racing Showing Reason for Optimism

Henderson Racing has been struggling for several seasons. The team debuted in Season 7 showing spark as a new team with rookie team leader Elliott Henderson taking 3rd in AAA points in his rookie season. The team was on the upswing at this point with expectations rising on them they went into season 8 with many new members after Kyle-Rowdy-Busch was released from his leadership position at Go-Daddy Motorsports (now Redline) by its owner. The team was growing and showing potential to become a contender.

However team leadership wanted to become a AAA only team scrapping the A development and setting competitive requirements. This system resulted in the team losing most of its lineup to either releasing for lack of performance, inactivity or drivers leaving. The team leadership failed to replace those that they lost and the teams competitive level continued to sink. Over the last several season the team has been the laughing stock of NASRAC. With Elliott Henderson riding a record AAA 200 race winless streak and co leader Duffman228 riding a 144 AAA race winless streak. The team has never won a championship anywhere yet.

There is reason for hope however at Henderson, the team has been recruiting new talent for the first time in a long time and working toward becoming a decent team. Elliott Henderson has made Duffman his co leader, and he has taken action making recruitments of talent from A and AA. The team is showing that they want to be a better team and become a legitimate contender for chase positions and in time a championship contender.

They won’t get  there fast it will likely take at least a season or two, maybe more. They have begun to make the right moves to show they want to be better, and with that they should be seen by others in a more favorable light. If the team continues to work hard they can become a decent team and in time maybe a contender, but they must not become satisfied with their status or they will start to fall behind again.
