It is the biggest race of the season, those who win it are called Daytona 500 Champions. No other race are the winners remembered as champions of that particular race.  For the most part those that have won the Crown Jewel race have not had great success as a driver elsewhere. Only one person has won the Daytona 500 and the Championship, Kashvinder Mann. There has not been anyone else who has won it and the championship.

The names that have won it include Mann, Giants02122, Kloon, Imetater3, Phillip Bupp, Shelly1099, SimonSez, TlgTlg Y+F, & Jeremy Hanson. As drivers most of the winners other than maybe Phillip Bupp & Kash will be remembered as Daytona 500 Champions.  Bupp has come close to the championship but never has been able to close the deal. Kash has won it twice in Season 6 & 11.

There have been the NASRAC “greats” that have not won it including Champions Johnny Williams, Tim Reeve, Kevin Minnelli (2 time champ), Black Mamba, Flash, Defender, and Whiskey Wagon. It is the one race that everyone wants to add to there list of accomplishments. Along with the Championship it can make a “complete” career for a driver that has only been accomplished by one person to date.

Ironically the only team left in its form from when it won the Daytona 500 is X2X Motorsports, Bailey Motorsports has been merged in and is still technically in existence inside Speed of Light Racing.
