Henderson Racing is entering its 6th season of competition with it’s recentely inducted Hall of Fame owner Elliott Henderson. The teams best AAA points finish was in Season 7 with then Rookie driver and owner Elliott. Now the team will continue to chase bettering its record this season with drivers Elliott Henderson, Duffman228, Sharks244833, C. Force, and danatyam. The team isn’t the biggest in Nasrac, it isn’t the best, but it is a fighter and Henderson Racing will continue its fight to become a title contender in season 12.

Q&A

With all the offseason changes, how will they effect your team?

Our team was very up and down last season. We had just two drivers in the Top 25 in points at the end of the season. I was most certainly the highlight of our season, but never picked up a win, or more then one Top 5 finish. As we bring Sharks to the team, I feel like it will be a better season. He was 19th in the points, just thirty points behind me. I feel that he will be the biggest asset to our team since Duffman. On the other side of things one driver is in the talks of leaving the team. After a dismal season Ed KImmel is wondering if his stay here is just going to bring his career in AAA to a halt.

What are your predictions for your team this year?

For Season 12, I think that Henderson Racing will really come out of the box. I have been saying that for a couple seasons now, but I feel in our 6th season as a NASRAC team, we can finally mix it up. We have had a driver in the chase every season, except for two. Now we are focusing on getting at least two in the chase, and possibly bringing how what me and Duffman never finished. A Championship. I am thinking that if anything HR will have a driver in the chase. Once we are there, we will see how it goes…

Any drivers on your team you think will have a big year?

With the new driver joining the team, and the addition to C. Force, I feel those brothers could have a pretty good season. Duffman is always my guy to look at though. He is always up there in the points on the “even” seasons. If one of the other drivers can get up there, we may be looking at having two drivers in the chase. I am thinking our Top 3 drivers will likely be Duffman, Me and Sharks. But C. Force posed himself as a threat last season with Y&F prior to joining HR. Danatyam and Ed Kimmel may be newcomers, and like me and Duffman stick it to ‘em in there first couple of seasons.

Who’s your biggest competitor this season?

For me as a driver I think my biggest competitor is my friend JD. We are always smack talking each other, and he beat me last season, so now I think I have to go out and beat him. As a Team its always X2X. If it isn’t them, then maybe Bad Moon Rising will come up to the plate and throw out a couple good hits. Also, with JD’s new team, you never know what will happen. We will just have to wait and find out.

What’s your biggest concern going into this season?

My biggest concern for this season would likely be making the chase. I have not made the chase since back in Season 7, and now I am beginning to think that that was just luck. It really messes with your mind, ya know? I am hoping to just make it this season, after having two of my best runs since Season 7 in the last two seasons here. I think I am getting this game figured out little by little. The other big concern is having my other drivers do good. It seems only one of us can do good, while the others drop to the bottom of the standings like a brick. I am also hoping my drivers stay in AAA. Three have a chance of dropping back to AA1, so that is pretty nerve racking. Again, we will just have to wait and see how it plays out. I feel like this can and will finally be the breakthrough year Henderson Racing is looking for…
